This patient was treated with veneers in ceramic material, and direct restorations, preserving all available healthy tissue
The central incisor tooth had an old, extensive restoration, which the patient feared to remove due to the risk of having to undergo long and expensive therapies. In reality, the tooth was treated in a single session, through a direct restoration treatment, based on a project developed with the patient. The tooth has also kept its gum tissue vitality unaltered!
When the tooth, unfortunately, has no more opportunities to be maintained, the implant is an election of choice. However, it is very important, especially in aesthetically sensitive areas, to correctly manage the gingival tissues to give produce maximum aesthetics and functionality in the final work.
Here is an increasingly frequent case in these 2000s! Often patients erode dental surfaces with a disproportionate consumption of so-called "soft drinks" (colas, iced teas, isotonic drinks), which in addition to being cariogens (ie cariogenic) also determine an erosion of the enamel matrix. And almost always these patients are young! Anorexia and bulimia also cause similar injuries, but initially the front teeth are more affected in their palatine portions.
