THE IMPORTANCE OF THE RIGHT APPROACH: THE FIRST Visit

For us, the psychological approach represents the fundamental step towards a serene and uncomplicated treatment.

This approach is based on a game, because nothing that the dentist uses must scare the child. Thus, the drill will never be a drill but a "water pistol", and anesthesia will never be a sting but, miraculously, a design that, from time to time, the child will decide.

Showing the procedures to the child, explaining them and playing with them, eliminates the patient's anxiety and increases confidence in the operator ... and when the approach has been successful, your child will be impatient and ask you: "when will you take me back to the dentist ??? "

Sometimes, if deemed appropriate, especially in the case of children traumatized by previous negative experiences, we use conscious sedation through nitrous oxide (see section "Services": sedative analgesia and conscious sedation).
